Mr Peeyush Gupta is currently working as Vice President – Steel (Marketing & Sales) at Tata Steel Limited and looks after revenue responsibility of Indian operations.
He has been with Tata Steel for over 27 years and has worked in various leadership roles at Indian & SE Asian operations that include President & CEO of Tata Steel (Thailand) plc, Chief of Marketing & Sales of Flat Products at Tata Steel, Chief Strategy & Integration, Financial Controller of Long Products and Chief of Performance Improvement Program, among others.
Mr. Gupta currently chairs the Board of Tata Steel (Thailand) plc, NatSteel Holdings (Singapore) and Indian Steel & Wire Products (ISWP), subsidiaries of Tata Steel Limited.
He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Tata Steel Downstream Products ltd. (TSDPL) and mjunction services limited. He also chairs the Business Council of Agrico and Bearings Division.
Mr Gupta is associated with CII (Eastern Region) as Vice Chairman of State Council of West Bengal and is a member of Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industries (BCC&I) and World Steel Association (WSA).
Mr Gupta is an MBA in Marketing & Finance from McGill University, Canada and a Chevening Scholar from Leeds Business School. He is an avid reader and writes business cases and management articles for discussions at premier academic institutions. He is a keen exponent of TBEM (Tata Business Excellence Model) practiced at the TATA Group and has mentored Tata Sky in 2018 & Tata Coffee in 2019.
